A two-week website intensive for purpose-driven businesses and non-profits

Show people what makes your work matter and why they should be part of it

Give the stories behind your work a place to be seen. In two weeks, we’ll create a Squarespace website that shows what changes for the people you support and gives others a clear way to get involved.

From the founder needing to launch new offers and get investment – fast!

“Having Lauren as one of our partners has been a real force-multiplier for us. She has a sharp design sense, delivers work quickly, and consistently brings fresh ideas that challenge our thinking and push things forward.

If you want someone who blends creativity with practicality and consistently delivers results that matter, Lauren’s the designer you want.”

You’ve seen the impact your work has on people’s lives

People are putting your training into practice. Organisations are asking you back. It’s time to build on that momentum.

You need to give those ambitions your full backing, with a website you’re proud to share and one that turns that turns people who are interested into ones that take action.

The people you support come first and your website gets whatever time is left

A programme gets added between sessions. A service changes, but the sales page doesn’t. The results you’d love to share are still sitting in your inbox.

You’ve kept the work moving - now the website needs more than another quick update!

Does this sound familiar?

Your work has grown. Your website still tells the old story.

  • Your website represents an older version of your business

You’re delivering team training, but the homepage still centres one-to-one sessions. You’ve developed new programmes, but visitors keep finding the original offer. Before sharing your link, you’re already explaining what’s missing.

  • Your programme sounds like a list of sessions.

The dates, topics and format are there. The thinking behind your approach, the experience you bring and what participants have achieved are harder to find. Someone can see what they’ll attend without understanding why they should choose it.

  • Your marketing sparks interest but your website leaves people with more questions

Someone hears about your workshop and clicks through, ready to explore. But who is it for? What support is available? Are bookings open? They have to search across pages, or email you, to work out whether they can take part.

  • Promoting something new starts with a battle with your website.

You sit down to open bookings and end up moving sections, rewriting headings and trying to fix the mobile layout. The page still isn’t ready, and the time you’d set aside to promote the programme has gone into building it.

You need:

A website that reflects the work you do now

Give your current programmes and services a clear place on your site, so people can find the right offer without you having to explain what’s changed.

A clearer story about why it matters

Show people how you work, what participants have achieved and why your approach is worth choosing.

An easier way to get your next offer out the door

Give people a clear route from hearing about your programme to finding the details and signing up.

INTRODUCING…

The Powerhouse

We start with the difference you make, who needs to know about it and where you want to go next. Then we bring the strategy, messaging and Squarespace design together so people can see why your work matters and how to be part of it.

The next time someone asks for your website, you can confidently share a site shows what you do, shares what it means to the people you support and makes it clear how to book, join a programme or start a partnership

STEP 01

Find what’s stopping people from taking the next step

Can a prospective partner see the value of collaborating? Can a donor understand what their contribution funds? Can a client recognise why your support is right for them?

Using my signature IMPACT audit, I’ll review your website through those decisions, identifying where that confidence breaks down and setting clear priorities around the results you want.

Answer the questions that help each audience say YES!

A participant wants to know whether a programme is right for them. A funder needs evidence of impact. A corporate contact may need to make the case to their colleagues.

Your messaging and website structure need to be shaped around those different needs, bringing the right explanations, evidence and next steps together on the relevant pages.

People can explore an opportunity, share it with decision-makers and arrive at conversations ready to discuss getting involved..

Visual design and Squarespace build

This is where your website starts to feel unmistakably yours.

I apply your brand through typography, colour, imagery and layout, capturing the personality and quality of your work. Clear visual hierarchy gives important messages room to land and makes detailed information easier to explore.

I build the design in Squarespace, connecting your pages and agreed functionality into one cohesive website you’re excited to share.

Put your Powerhouse out into the world

SEO foundations, simple navigation and accessibility help more people find and use your website. Before launch, I test it across devices and check the routes to enquiring, booking or supporting you.

Keep the momentum going

Once your website is ready, personalised handover training shows you how to manage everyday updates. Any reusable templates included in your scope are designed and built for you, giving your next service, programme or campaign a consistent starting point.

Sold-out summer programmes and a website they’re proud to share

Piers Park’s website hadn’t kept up with eight years of change or captured the joyful, welcoming organisation people experienced in person.

I helped tell their story, showing who they welcome onto the water and why their work matters. I organised their sailing programmes, passes and classes into clearer navigation, making it easier to find and book the right option, and created a dedicated donations page for supporters.

Applying their new branding throughout connected the website with their wider marketing, giving them a consistent, distinctive presence wherever people find them.

Since the project, Piers Park has reported sold-out summer programmes and enthusiastic feedback from their community, funders and partners.

“We are out in the world feeling confident because we look like our true selves.”.

homepage design featuring improved layout with clear headings and paragraphs, information separated into sections and bright fun branding applied consistently

The result is a brand and website Piers Park can feel genuinely proud of — one that reflects who they are, makes their programmes easier to discover and has received brilliant feedback from their community. Most importantly, their summer programmes have sold out, helping more people get out on the water.

ABOUT ME

Your designer, thought partner and someone invested in doing thing right

When I started designing websites, I thought the finished design would always be the most important part. The typography, colours, applying snazzy motion effects.

Then clients started telling me things I hadn’t expected.

“I understand my own offers better.”
“It feels like us.”
“I can’t wait for people to see it.”

They could see the value of their own work more clearly and felt ready to put it out into the world.

That’s the part I love getting invested in. I’ll dig out your story, untangle the overlapping services, challenge the headline that could belong to anyone and find the details that make someone think, “This is exactly what we need.”

You’ve put a lot into building your business. I’ll put that same care into representing it.

  • 50+ Brands I’ve worked with
  • 2 Weeks for your website intensive
  • 4 Stages from audit to handover
  • 1 Website for your programmes, services and campaigns

The Powerhouse is for you if…

  • Your work stands for something. You’re building a business or organisation around a purpose you believe in and want that to come through in how you present yourself online.

  • You’re ready for a proper rethink. You’re open to revisiting the structure, messaging and design to create a website that supports your next chapter.

  • You see this as a catalyst for change. You want to use the project to get clear on your mission, regain your confidence and put plans into motion.

  • You want an invested creative partner. You value honest recommendations, a new perspective and someone who’ll challenge an idea when there’s a stronger way forward.

  • You can make space for the project. I take care of the strategy, design and build; you provide the insight, materials and timely feedback that keep us moving.

It’s probably not the right fit if…

  • You only want a few cosmetic tweaks. Powerhouse is a website rebuild, rather than a refresh of colours and fonts.

  • You’ve already decided exactly what to build. You need someone to develop a fixed brief without strategic input.

  • You’d prefer to hand it over and disappear. This is done for you, but your knowledge and feedback are essential to representing your work properly.

  • You need a website to guarantee instant growth. You’re looking for enquiries or sales without investing in getting people to the site and following up.

Real People. Real Results.
